Intravenous Therapy

Intravenous therapies can offer enormous health benefits. Dr Janssens or her associates may recommend IV therapy when necessary, based on your specific needs. Treatment times range from ten minutes for simple IV pushes to several hours for high dose vitamin C therapy.

The following is a sample of IV therapies available:

Immune Drips

An immune IV contains high doses of Vitamin C, B complex, calcium, magnesium, trace minerals and glutathione. Immune IV’s are used to support individuals with:

  • Flu
  • Respiratory infections including pneumonia
  • Gastrointestinal infections
  • Shingles
  • Mononucleosis
  • Lyme disease
  • Fatigue
  • Stress
  • Chronic illnesses of many kinds causing physical debility
  • Immune support prior to stressful situations, including travel
  • Preoperative support
  • Postoperative support
  • Cancer (including individuals undergoing radiation or chemotherapy)

Chelation Therapy

Heavy metal chelation : EDTA or DMPS may be infused to eliminate heavy metals such as mercury, aluminum, lead and cadmium.  DMPS is especially effective in promoting mercury excretion while EDTA is used for lead toxicity.  Heavy metals are toxic in that they:

  • Block the activity of many essential enzymes
  • Suppress immune function
  • Enhance “free radical” damage
  • Bind to DNA causing mutations
  • Contribute to yeast or other microbial overgrowth
  • Inhibit absorption of nutritional minerals
  • Contribute to neurological damage

P-K Protocol

Developed by Patricia Kane, a renowned biochemist, this infusion may provide dramatic benefits for a variety of neurological diseases. Phosphatidylcholine, an unsaturated fatty acid that forms the major component of cell membranes, is infused along with activated folic acid and glutathione. The P-K protocol is utilized in patients being treated for:

  • Parkinson’s disease / Multiple sclerosis
  • Stroke / Autism
  • Alzheimer’s disease / Dementia
  • Memory loss
  • ALS
  • Dystonia
  • Liver disorders (including chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis, and liver failure)

Mood Elevation

Mood Elevation infusions contain a variety of vitamins and minerals as well as amino acids. This therapy can help with depression, anxiety, and stress.  It is particularly useful in helping patients taper off the use of psychotherapeutic drugs, or handle the side effects of recreational drugs.  Using this infusion, we have been successful in helping many patients completely eliminate the use of antidepressant drugs.

Phosphatidylcholine

Phosphotidylcholine (PC) given in high dose, intravenous phosphatidylcholine may be used by itself or in combination with EDTA chelation in the therapy of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
